The collection for the first season is split into three packs -- The Characters Pack, the Vehicles Pack and the Direct Pack. The products in each pack take inspiration from the respective aspect of the Star Wars lexicon from legendary characters and crafts to classic scenes and fuse them with iconic adidas Originals silhouettes. The pieces will begin to hit all adidas Originals stores and other select retailers in January. Also, look out for a very special web application announcing the adidas and Star Wars collaboration which will hit the internet within the next couple of weeks. Below is an overview of the products within each pack.

Characters Pack
This pack takes the most iconic moments and characters from the Star Wars saga and brings them to life across five sneakers, two short sleeve T-shirts and the Superstar Track Top.

Vehicles Pack

For this pack, inspiration from the well known vehicles and crafts from the Star Wars saga are taken and translated into five iconic adidas Originals sneakers and two key adidas Originals apparel models. Across these models homage has been paid to the distinguished features of airborne crafts and land based vehicles from both sides of the Force and executed them to appeal to both adidas and Star Wars fans alike.

Direct Pack

Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers appear in this pack as well as in the Characters pack. Also, the Women's Game Mid silhouette that appears here is inspired by Princess Leia, featuring gold detailing paired with a modern high-top silhouette with matching apparel.

adidas made use of the Bread&Butter Winter 2010 get together to celebrate the launch of their Star Wars collaboration collection that was already reported on several times all over the internets. The party took place in a cool underground location in Berlin.

The products in the season’s first drop take inspiration from legendary Star Wars characters and scenes and fuse them with iconic adidas Originals silhouettes. In this first look we present details of the upcoming Skywalker and Yoda sneakers, as well as a Star Wars tee and Stormtrooper hoodie. The pieces will begin to hit all adidas Originals stores and other select retailers in January.

Also, a report about a collaboration between Porter and Star Wars is in the works. The line consists of tote bags, backpacks, shoulder bags and wallets. They used a Stormtrooper and a lightsaber all-over pattern on the bags. We appreciate the fact that they kept it pretty subtle with the colors and patterns, at least compared to what they could have done. The collection will be released at Zozo in January 2010.

After the adidas Originals x Star Wars collection, as well as the Porter x Star Wars line, here you get a look at the New Era x Star Wars cap collection here now. All of your favorite characters are included in the line-up. Of course most of the caps are a little extreme, but for the hardcore fans among you, definitely something to look out for! Via Warp.

CLEARLY CALLING YOU: TRANSPARENT NOKIA CONCEPT PHONE

Carrying on the trend of awesome transparent gadgets, Columbian designer Juan Carlos Garzon has concocted a phone design for Nokia that adds some transparency to all of your conversations.  The touch interface gives a simple and clear view of which buttons you’re mashing, while all of the electronics bits are stored below in the white enclosure.

When not in use, the touch screen fades away, leaving only the white bottom and a glass-like top section that doesn’t give much of a clue about its true identity as a phone. The clear top portion of the phone lights up from the inside, giving the display more power and making it easier to see what you’re doing, even in the dark.

Despite looking very compact, the bottom part also houses a 5 megapixel camera – making this phone comparable to many of the more conventional phone designs on the market currently. We think the clean, crisp design would be a winner with design junkies, though like all transparent gadgets it would be a bit of a fingerprint magnet.

These are really witty, smart and creative! Penney Design is a freelance graphic design company from Perth, Australia..Their themes seem to be almost exclusively retro, classic, vintage, or anything appreciated from the past.
I can almost see myself playing some of these games on an Atari..!

PHOTOS OF ANIMALS INSIDE THE WOMB

These amazing embryonic animal photographs of dolphins, sharks, dogs, penguins, cats and elephants are from a new National Geographic Documentary called "Extraordinary Animals in the Womb". The show's producer, Peter Chinn, used a combination of three-dimensional ultrasound scans, computer graphics and tiny cameras to capture the process from conception to birth. They are the most detailed embryonic animal pictures ever seen.
